Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mirdametinib + carbamazepine is a drug combination used in a Phase 1 clinical pharmacology study to evaluate the pharmacokinetic drug-drug interaction between mirdametinib, a MEK1/2 inhibitor, and carbamazepine, a strong CYP3A4 inducer. Mirdametinib (brand name Gomekli) is developed by SpringWorks Therapeutics for the treatment of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) associated plexiform neurofibromas. Carbamazepine is an anticonvulsant that induces various cytochrome P450 enzymes. The study aims to determine how the induction of CYP3A4 by carbamazepine affects the systemic exposure and elimination of mirdametinib in healthy volunteers.
