Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Miricorilant + olanzapine is a combination therapy consisting of miricorilant, a selective glucocorticoid receptor modulator, and olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic. This combination is being investigated for its potential to mitigate the significant weight gain and metabolic disturbances commonly associated with olanzapine treatment. Clinical studies have shown that coadministration of miricorilant with olanzapine results in less weight gain and smaller increases in insulin, insulin resistance, triglycerides, and liver enzymes compared to olanzapine alone.
