Overview

miRNA-loaded EVs is a preclinical therapeutic candidate developed by Theramir using its proprietary EVmiR platform. This approach utilizes extracellular vesicles (EVs) as delivery vehicles for specific microRNA (miRNA) sequences designed to target and modulate oncoproteins that are dysregulated in cancer, particularly breast cancer. By delivering these miRNAs directly to tumor cells, the therapy aims to disrupt metastatic processes and inhibit tumor growth. The platform leverages the natural ability of EVs to transport molecular cargo between cells, providing a biocompatible and potentially more effective method for RNA interference therapy compared to traditional delivery systems.
