miroliverELAP

**miroliverELAP** is an investigational bioengineered external liver-assist product developed to provide temporary extracorporeal liver support for adults with acute liver failure, including severe acute alcohol-associated hepatitis and acute-on-chronic liver failure. It combines a single-use bioengineered liver graft with an external blood circuit; the graft is made from a decellularized porcine liver scaffold seeded with allogeneic human endothelial cells and human liver cells. The system is intended to support the failed native liver for up to 48 hours as a bridge to liver recovery or transplantation. Phase 1 results were reported in January 2026, with a Phase 2 study planned; the product remains investigational and is not approved for use.
