Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mirvetuximab soravtansine + carboplatin is a combination regimen comprising **mirvetuximab soravtansine**, an antibody-drug conjugate targeting folate receptor alpha (FRα) with a maytansinoid payload (DM4), and **carboplatin**, a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent. Mirvetuximab soravtansine binds FRα, is internalized, and releases DM4, which disrupts microtubule assembly, resulting in cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Carboplatin induces DNA crosslinking, preventing replication and leading to cancer cell death. This combination is primarily evaluated for **platinum-sensitive, FRα-positive epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancer**, where FRα is overexpressed on tumor cells[1][2][3][4][6][7].
