Overview
MIS (Modulation of Immune Response) is an allogeneic cell therapy developed by the Blood Transfusion Centre of Slovenia. It consists of the infusion of allogeneic mononuclear cells into patients with resected pancreatic tubular adenocarcinoma who have completed adjuvant gemcitabine treatment. The procedure is preceded by a moderate dose of cyclophosphamide, which acts as a lymphodepleting agent to enhance the efficacy of the infused cells. The therapy is designed to stimulate an anti-tumor immune response to eliminate minimal residual disease and improve survival outcomes in pancreatic cancer patients.
