Overview
Misetionamide (GP-2250) is a novel small molecule oncology therapeutic in clinical development for the treatment of advanced and metastatic cancers, including pancreatic cancer and platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. It acts as an inhibitor of c-MYC and NFκB, two major oncogenic transcription factors, as well as HIF1α, an antiangiogenic transcription factor. Misetionamide has demonstrated synergistic activity when combined with gemcitabine in early-phase clinical trials for pancreatic cancer, showing promising rates of partial response or stable disease (~40–42%) and a favorable safety profile compared to gemcitabine monotherapy. The drug is being developed by Panavance Therapeutics[6][8][10].
