Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Misocholic Tab is a standardized Vietnamese herbal formulation developed for the treatment of hepatic disorders, including chronic hepatitis and non-viral elevated liver enzymes associated with alcohol-related liver disease, drug-induced liver injury, or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The formulation is composed of three primary active ingredients: pig bile extract (*Extractum Fel Suillum*), artichoke extract (*Extractum Cynarae Succus*), and garlic bulb (*Bulbus Allii Sativi*). These components work synergistically to provide anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, choleretic, antibacterial, and antioxidant effects. Misocholic Tab is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial sponsored by Hanoi Medical University to assess its efficacy and safety in adults with mild to moderate elevation of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and/or aspartate aminotransferase (AST).
