Overview

MitoDak is a preclinical-stage small molecule therapeutic being developed by Neuroene Therapeutics for the treatment of cardiac reperfusion injury. The compound is part of Neuroene's proprietary platform of mitochondrial-targeted Vitamin K analogs, which are engineered to enhance mitochondrial bioenergetics and provide antioxidant protection. MitoDak is designed to protect cardiac tissue from the damage that occurs when blood flow is restored (reperfusion) following a period of ischemia, such as after a myocardial infarction or during cardiac surgery. By stabilizing mitochondrial function and reducing the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), the drug aims to minimize cell death and improve clinical outcomes in patients with acute cardiac injury.
