Overview
Miwu oil is an investigational **botanical oil preparation** derived from *Ligusticum chuanxiong* foliage, known in traditional Chinese medicine as 蘼芜. It was developed by Chengdu High-tech Zone Kaiyuan Pharmaceutical as an oral soft-capsule candidate for tension-type headache. A randomized, double-blind, parallel-group Phase 1 dose-escalation study in healthy volunteers evaluated single- and multiple-dose safety and tolerability; no specific molecular target or validated modern pharmacologic mechanism has been publicly disclosed.
