Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Mixed methylene blue compound** is an investigational, locally compounded intradermal admixture of methylene blue, dexamethasone, and ropivacaine in normal saline. It was evaluated by Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Hubei Province for vulvar nonneoplastic epithelial disorders, including lichen sclerosus and vulvar squamous hyperplasia. The intended local effects combine methylene blue-associated antipruritic and neuromodulatory effects with dexamethasone-mediated anti-inflammatory activity and ropivacaine local anesthesia. The regimen was administered as two intradermal treatments in the registered study and is not identified as a marketed fixed-dose product.
