Overview

Mixed Sugar Electrolyte Injection is a parenteral nutrition and fluid replacement solution developed by Beijing Minkan Baicao Pharmaceutical Technology. It is a combination product typically composed of three carbohydrates—glucose, fructose, and xylitol—along with essential electrolytes including sodium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride. This formulation is designed to provide a balanced energy source and maintain electrolyte homeostasis in patients who are unable to receive adequate nutrition orally or enterally, such as those in post-operative recovery or intensive care. The inclusion of fructose and xylitol allows for insulin-independent energy utilization, which is particularly beneficial in managing patients with stress-induced hyperglycemia or glucose intolerance, as these sugars are metabolized through pathways that do not require insulin.
