Mixtard 30

Mixtard 30 is a biphasic human insulin preparation consisting of 30% soluble insulin (short-acting) and 70% isophane insulin (intermediate-acting). It is used to manage blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus by mimicking the physiological insulin response. The soluble component provides a rapid onset of action to control postprandial glucose spikes, while the isophane component provides a prolonged effect to maintain basal insulin levels.
