Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination regimen of four agents: - **MK-0482**: a monoclonal antibody targeting leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 4 (LILRB4), inhibiting its immunosuppressive action and promoting antitumor immune activity. - **Pembrolizumab**: a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, blocking PD-1-mediated immunoinhibition and activating T-cell antitumor responses. - **Nab-paclitaxel**: an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel, a microtubule inhibitor that blocks mitosis and triggers apoptosis, formulated for improved tumor delivery. - **Gemcitabine**: a nucleoside analog chemotherapeutic, inhibiting DNA synthesis and mainly used for solid tumors. This combination is in development for the treatment of advanced/metastatic solid tumors, such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma, and other solid cancers, being evaluated for safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in Phase 1 clinical trials.
