Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MK-0482 + pembrolizumab + paclitaxel is an investigational combination therapy being studied primarily for advanced/metastatic solid tumors, including pancreatic, lung, breast, brain, and soft tissue cancers. **MK-0482** is a novel humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting immunoglobulin-like transcript 3 (ILT3), an inhibitory receptor that regulates immune tolerance and contributes to an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. **Pembrolizumab** is a programmed death-1 (PD-1) checkpoint inhibitor that enhances T-cell antigen-specific immune responses against tumor cells. **Paclitaxel** is an established anti-mitotic chemotherapeutic agent that inhibits microtubule disassembly, causing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in dividing cells. The combination aims to unleash anti-tumor immune activity while directly inhibiting cancer cell proliferation, being developed and tested by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) in phase 1b clinical studies for patients with advanced or metastatic solid malignancies who have progressed on, or are intolerant to, standard therapies[1][2][6].
