Overview

MK-4700 is an investigational antineoplastic drug developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials as both monotherapy and in combination with pembrolizumab (an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody). The precise mechanism of action for MK-4700 has not been publicly disclosed as of June 2025. The drug is administered subcutaneously, and its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics are under investigation in patients with various cancers including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, renal cell carcinoma, cervical cancer, triple negative breast cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, urothelial carcinoma (transitional cell carcinoma), and squamous cell carcinoma[2][5][6][7].
