Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MKK700 is a small molecule toll-like receptor 7 and 8 (TLR7/8) agonist developed by MAXVAX Biotechnology as part of its proprietary adjuvant platform. It is designed to enhance the efficacy of vaccines by stimulating the innate immune system, specifically through the activation of TLR7 and TLR8 pathways in endosomes. This activation leads to the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as IFN-alpha, IL-12, and TNF-alpha) and promotes the maturation and migration of antigen-presenting cells, thereby strengthening the subsequent adaptive immune response. MKK700 is being evaluated in preclinical studies for its potential to serve as a potent adjuvant in various vaccine formulations, including those for infectious diseases and oncology.
