MLC1501

MLC1501 is a further developed herbal formulation derived from four of the original nine herbs present in its parent formulations, MLC601 and MLC901 (NeuroAiD). It is being developed primarily for post-stroke recovery, with clinical trials targeting improvement in functional independence and neurological recovery after acute ischemic stroke. The drug has demonstrated neuroprotective and neurorestorative properties in preclinical models, including increased neurite outgrowth and proliferation as well as reduced markers of cell injury. Clinical studies have shown that it is safe and well tolerated, with no serious adverse events reported. The mechanism of action remains unclear but is believed to involve amplification of endogenous brain repair processes following injury. MLC1501 is administered orally and has reached Phase 2/3 clinical development for stroke indications. MLC1501 contains botanical extracts from Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix Angelicae sinensis, and Radix Polygalae at a ratio of 5:1:1:1 per high-dose capsule.
