Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MLG-Complete is a multi-layer human perinatal tissue allograft derived from placental membranes (amnion and chorion), designed to serve as a protective biological barrier during surgical procedures. Developed by MiMedx, this allograft is specifically utilized in nerve-sparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) to wrap the neurovascular bundles. By providing a dehydrated, multi-layer scaffold, it shields the nerves from the inflammatory surgical environment and mechanical trauma, aiming to reduce adhesion formation and facilitate the recovery of urinary continence and erectile function. It is processed to maintain the natural regulatory proteins and extracellular matrix components inherent in placental tissues that support tissue healing and protection.
