Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MM010 is a monoclonal antibody in preclinical development by Mucommune, specifically designed to target polyethylene glycol (PEG). PEGylation is a common strategy used to improve the stability and half-life of biopharmaceuticals; however, many patients develop anti-PEG antibodies, a phenomenon known as PEG immunogenicity, which can compromise the safety and efficacy of PEGylated drugs. MM010 is being developed to address these challenges, potentially by neutralizing anti-PEG antibodies or otherwise modulating the immune response to PEGylated products to restore or maintain therapeutic efficacy.
