MM09-I

MM09-I is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (AIT) product developed by Inmunotek for the treatment of house dust mite (HDM) induced allergic rhinitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, and asthma. It consists of a 50/50 mixture of polymerized allergen extracts (allergoids) from the mites *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* and *Dermatophagoides farinae*. The allergens are modified through a polymerization process, typically using glutaraldehyde, which reduces their IgE-binding capacity while preserving their immunogenicity. This modification aims to improve the safety profile by minimizing the risk of systemic IgE-mediated allergic reactions during administration, while still effectively inducing T-cell-mediated immune tolerance and the production of allergen-specific IgG4 blocking antibodies.
