Overview

MMP11 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 11 (MMP11), also known as stromelysin-3. MMP11 is a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family involved in the degradation of the extracellular matrix and is frequently overexpressed in various cancers, including bladder cancer, where it promotes tumor progression, migration, and invasion. In research settings, MMP11 siRNA is used to investigate the functional role of MMP11 in oncogenic pathways and to validate it as a therapeutic target. Studies have shown that silencing MMP11 can inhibit the migration and invasion of cancer cells, suggesting its potential as a target for RNA interference-based therapies.
