MMRVNS

MMRVNS is an investigational live-attenuated combination vaccine developed by GSK for the prevention of measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. It is specifically designed for intramuscular administration, distinguishing it from some other MMRV vaccines that are typically administered subcutaneously. The vaccine is currently in Phase 3 clinical development (e.g., NCT04982328), where it is being evaluated for safety and immunogenicity in children aged 15 months to 6 years. In these studies, it is often compared to the licensed vaccine ProQuad to demonstrate non-inferiority when administered as a second dose to children previously primed with measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella-containing vaccines. The combination of four viral antigens into a single injection is intended to simplify pediatric vaccination schedules and improve compliance.
