MMSA-1 CAR-T

MMSA-1 CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting Multiple Myeloma-Specific Antigen 1 (MMSA-1), a novel surface protein identified as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in plasma cell dyscrasias. Developed by Wuhan Porida Biotechnology (also known as Bio-Raid), the therapy utilizes T cells genetically modified to express a CAR specific for MMSA-1, enabling the immune cells to recognize and eliminate MMSA-1-expressing malignant plasma cells. The program is currently in the IND-enabling/preclinical phase for the treatment of multiple myeloma, aiming to provide a targeted treatment option for patients with relapsed or refractory disease.
