Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MMT-205 (formerly MT-103) is an investigational bispecific antibody being developed for the treatment of retinal vascular diseases, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). Originally co-developed by South Korean biotechs MabTics and Curacle, the asset was licensed globally by Memento Medicines in 2026. MMT-205 is designed to simultaneously activate the Tie2 receptor and inhibit the VEGF pathway. By directly agonizing Tie2, the drug aims to enhance retinal blood vessel integrity and reduce vascular leakage, while its anti-VEGF component blocks pathological neovascularization. MMT-205 is currently undergoing IND-enabling studies, with first-in-human clinical trials planned to initiate in 2027.
