MNK-1411

MNK-1411 is an investigational drug developed by Mallinckrodt for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). It is a depot formulation of cosyntropin acetate, also known as tetracosactide, a synthetic 24 amino acid melanocortin receptor agonist. The drug is designed for prolonged release and is believed to reduce inflammation and muscle damage by stimulating melanocortin receptors, potentially delaying DMD progression and improving motor function. MNK-1411 is also approved and marketed outside the U.S. for certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
