Overview

MNPR-101-PCTA-Ac225 is a **radiotherapeutic agent** comprising Monopar’s proprietary humanized monoclonal antibody MNPR-101, which targets the **urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR)**, conjugated with the radioisotope **actinium-225** (Ac-225) via the metal binding chelator **PCTA**. This **radio-immunotherapeutic** seeks to selectively deliver potent alpha radiation to uPAR-expressing tumor cells, aiming for high specificity with minimal off-target toxicity. The compound is being developed primarily for advanced cancers with high uPAR expression, but potential indications extend to severe COVID-19 and other diseases characterized by aberrant uPAR activity. Preclinical studies have demonstrated 98% radiochemical purity and high stability of the conjugate.
