Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MNS-FTD2 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by Prediction BioSciences for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, specifically Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The drug utilizes a proprietary brain cell-type specific exosome platform designed to deliver nucleic acid vectors directly to the central nervous system. MNS-FTD2 is engineered to target pathways associated with progranulin (PGRN/GRN) and C9orf72 gene mutations, as well as TDP-43 protein aggregation, which are hallmark pathological features of FTD and ALS. By leveraging engineered neural exosomes, the therapy aims to modulate these genetic and proteinopathic drivers through novel PGRN receptor interactions and gene-specific delivery.
