Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MNS-FTD247 (also known as MNS-FTD2) is a preclinical-stage, exosome-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Prediction BioSciences and its R&D laboratory, Mosaic Neurosciences, for the treatment of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The therapy utilizes a brain cell-type-specific exosome platform designed to cross the blood-brain barrier and deliver therapeutic cargo directly to targeted brain cells. It is designed to act as a progranulin (PGRN) replacement therapy to address progranulin deficiency, which is a major genetic cause of behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD), without promoting the tumorigenic properties associated with wild-type progranulin.
