Overview

MOAP is a combination chemotherapy regimen being evaluated as a salvage therapy for patients with relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). The regimen consists of chlormethine (an alkylating agent), vincristine (a microtubule inhibitor), doxorubicin (a topoisomerase II inhibitor and DNA intercalator), and prednisone (a glucocorticoid). It is specifically being studied by Dr. Weidong Han at the Chinese PLA General Hospital for patients who have progressed after treatment with the DP regimen (decitabine and camrelizumab). Chlormethine, the nitrogen mustard component, works by cross-linking DNA, which prevents cell replication and triggers apoptosis in the malignant cells characteristic of Hodgkin lymphoma.
