Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MOB-015 is a next-generation topical formulation of terbinafine developed for the treatment of onychomycosis (nail fungus). It utilizes a patented technology to deliver high concentrations of terbinafine directly into and through the nail plate, achieving effective antifungal activity in the nail bed while minimizing systemic absorption and associated risks such as liver toxicity. The formulation also has emollient and keratolytic properties that contribute to rapid, visible improvement. Clinical trials have demonstrated that MOB-015 achieves mycological cure rates comparable to oral terbinafine but with significantly reduced risk of systemic side effects. The drug has been approved in 13 European countries for mild to moderate fungal infections of the nails in adults and is marketed under the brand name Terclara[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
