Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MOBIKUFF-LS is a combination respiratory medication developed and marketed by Varmed Pharma. It is formulated as an oral syrup containing three active ingredients: levosalbutamol, ambroxol, and guaifenesin. Levosalbutamol is a selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a bronchodilator by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that reduces the viscosity of respiratory secretions by breaking down mucopolysaccharide fibers and stimulating surfactant production. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that increases the volume and reduces the stickiness of phlegm, facilitating its removal from the respiratory tract. This triple-action therapy is indicated for the management of bronchospasm and obstructive airway diseases, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), particularly when accompanied by productive cough and excessive mucus production.
