Mobilan is an innovative gene therapy agent designed for cancer immunotherapy. It consists of a recombinant, non-replicating bicistronic adenovirus that directs the constitutive expression of human Toll-like receptor 5 (TLR5) and a secreted flagellin-based TLR5 agonist known as 502s. Upon injection into tumors, Mobilan establishes an autocrine/paracrine TLR5 signaling loop in transduced cells, leading to continuous activation of the TLR5 pathway and subsequent induction of innate and adaptive antitumor immune responses. This mechanism results in local immune system activation and suppression of tumor growth and metastasis. Mobilan has been evaluated in first-in-human clinical studies for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics via intra-prostate injection in early-stage prostate cancer patients[3][5][6][7]. The drug was found to be safe and well-tolerated at all tested doses.
