Overview
modakafusp alfa + pembrolizumab is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated primarily for metastatic or unresectable cutaneous melanoma. Modakafusp alfa (TAK-573) is a first-in-class immunocytokine that fuses two interferon-alpha2b variants to an anti-CD38 IgG4 monoclonal antibody, designed to deliver interferon signaling selectively to CD38-expressing cells. Pembrolizumab is a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibody. The combination aims to synergize immune stimulation with immune checkpoint blockade for enhanced antitumor activity in resistant melanoma[1][3][4].
