Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Modified Danzhu Fuyuan Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Hubei University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of vascular dementia. The granule is specifically designed for patients meeting both Western diagnostic criteria for vascular dementia and TCM criteria for phlegm-and-blood-stasis syndrome. It is currently being evaluated in real-world observational studies to assess its efficacy in improving cognitive function, activities of daily living, and cerebral blood flow. The formulation is hypothesized to exert therapeutic effects by modulating metabolic and inflammatory markers and enhancing cerebral microcirculation, addressing the underlying pathology of vascular cognitive impairment through a multi-target approach characteristic of herbal medicine.
