The modified-DC vaccine is a novel autologous dendritic cell (DC) vaccine designed for patients with resected non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This vaccine is engineered by pulsing dendritic cells with tumor-associated antigens survivin and MUC1, silencing suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) to enhance DC activation, and stimulating them with flagellin to further boost immune responses. The goal is to induce a robust anti-tumor immune response, prevent recurrence, and improve patient quality of life. Early clinical data suggest it is well-tolerated and shows modest antitumor activity.
