Overview

Modified Jianpi Pill is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation based on the classic Jian Pi Wan, specifically adapted for use in the recovery phase of moderate to severe acute pancreatitis. Developed and studied by the Chengdu Integrated TCM and Western Medical Hospital, the formula is designed to strengthen the spleen, harmonize the stomach, and improve gastrointestinal function following the acute inflammatory stage of pancreatitis. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 0 clinical trial to assess its efficacy and safety as an adjunct to standard care, with the goal of promoting digestive recovery and preventing complications.
