Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Modified Liujunzi Decoction (MLJZT) is a Chinese herbal medicine formula used as an adjunct therapy during chemotherapy for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It has been evaluated for its efficacy and safety in alleviating chemotherapy-induced anorexia and reducing weight loss. A propensity score-matched case-control study indicated that MLJZT was effective in improving anorexia and mitigating weight reduction in patients receiving cisplatin-based chemotherapy, without increasing the incidence of side effects such as hematological and hepatorenal toxicity. These findings suggest its potential as a supportive care option in cancer treatment.
