Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Modified Shenling Baizhu San (MSLBZS) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula derived from the classic Shenling Baizhu San (SLBZS). This herbal formula has a long history of use in Chinese medicine, dating back to the Song Dynasty (around 1107 AD) when it was first documented in "Taiping Huimin Hejiju Fang" (Formulary of the Pharmacy Service for Benefiting the People in the Taiping Era).\n\nAccording to TCM theory, Modified Shenling Baizhu San works by strengthening the spleen, eliminating dampness, tonifying qi (vital energy), and relieving diarrhea. From a modern pharmacological perspective, research suggests that Modified Shenling Baizhu San may act on targets related to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance, affect the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, and alleviate central fatigue through the Sirt1-Pgc pathway.
