Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Modified Umbilical Cord derived MSCs is an engineered cell therapy being developed by StemiGen for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. These mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are derived from the umbilical cord and have been modified or engineered to enhance their therapeutic potential, specifically targeting improved regenerative or immunomodulatory activity within the joint environment. By leveraging the anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair capabilities of MSCs, the therapy aims to mitigate the progression of osteoarthritis and promote joint health. The program is currently in the discovery/preclinical stage of development.
