Overview
Modified Xiangsha Liujunzi granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation prepared in granule form. It is a modified version of the classic Xiangsha Liujunzi formula, which traditionally contains herbs such as Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Pinellia ternata, Citrus reticulata, Aucklandia lappa, and Amomum villosum. Developed and evaluated by the Jiangsu Province Hospital on Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine, this modified formulation is designed to target specific TCM syndromes (such as spleen-stomach qi deficiency) in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis. It is administered orally to protect the gastric mucosa, improve gastrointestinal motility, reduce inflammation, and alleviate clinical symptoms like abdominal pain and distension.
