ModraDoc006

ModraDoc006 is a novel oral tablet formulation of docetaxel, a second-generation taxane chemotherapy agent. It is designed to be administered in combination with ritonavir (referred to as ModraDoc006/r), which acts as a cytochrome P450 3A4 and P-glycoprotein inhibitor to boost the bioavailability of orally delivered docetaxel. This combination enables effective systemic exposure comparable to intravenous (IV) docetaxel while offering the convenience of oral administration. The primary indication under investigation is metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), where clinical trials have shown that ModraDoc006/r provides similar efficacy but with reduced rates of neutropenia, neuropathy, and alopecia compared to IV docetaxel.
