Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Moduspert is a finished pharmaceutical formulation marketed by Gynavista for the treatment of male infertility. The primary active ingredient is clomifene citrate, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). In the context of male reproductive health, clomifene acts as an estrogen receptor antagonist in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. By blocking the negative feedback of endogenous estrogens, it stimulates an increase in the pulse frequency of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which subsequently elevates the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). These gonadotropins stimulate the testes to increase testosterone production and support spermatogenesis, thereby improving sperm parameters such as count and motility. Moduspert is available as an oral tablet, and a variant known as Moduspert M may include additional micronutrients such as L-carnitine, coenzyme Q10, zinc, and lycopene to further support male fertility.
