Overview

MOG2 is an experimental therapeutic candidate being developed by Mogrify for the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss. It utilizes the company's proprietary MOGRIFY platform to perform in vivo direct cellular reprogramming. The approach involves the delivery of specific transcription factors via a viral vector to convert existing mature cells within the inner ear into functional cell types, such as hair cells, to restore lost auditory function. By bypassing the need for stem cell intermediates or ex vivo cell manipulation, MOG2 aims to regenerate degenerate cell populations directly within the patient's tissue.
