Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MOG3 is an experimental in vivo direct cellular reprogramming therapy being developed by Mogrify for the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes. The therapy utilizes the proprietary MOGRIFY® platform to identify the optimal combination of transcription factors required to convert endogenous mature cells into functional, insulin-producing beta-like cells. These transcription factors are delivered in vivo using a viral vector, effectively functioning as a gene therapy to restore lost or degenerate cell populations without the need for stem cell intermediates or ex vivo cell manipulation. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, focusing on establishing proof-of-concept for cell identity conversion within the pancreas.
