mogamulizumab

Mogamulizumab is a humanized, defucosylated monoclonal antibody that targets CC chemokine receptor 4 (CCR4), which is expressed on certain normal and malignant T cells. By binding to CCR4, mogamulizumab induces antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), leading to the depletion of CCR4-expressing cells, including malignant T cells in cutaneous T-cell lymphomas such as mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome. The drug was developed for patients with relapsed or refractory disease after at least one prior systemic therapy. Mogamulizumab is administered intravenously and has demonstrated efficacy in reducing circulating malignant cells through its targeted mechanism of action. Developed and manufactured by Kyowa Kirin.
