Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Moisturizing Durable Barrier Cream (MDBC) is a topical cream investigated for the prophylactic management of postmastectomy irradiation skin care. It functions as a barrier cream, aiming to moisturize and protect the skin to prevent or reduce the severity of radiation-induced skin toxicity, such as moist desquamation, in patients undergoing radiotherapy. The cream was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind clinical trial (TROG 04.01) comparing its efficacy against a 10% glycerine cream.
