Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Moisview is an ophthalmic solution indicated for the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome. It is understood to be a trehalose 3% eye drop. Trehalose, a naturally occurring disaccharide, functions as an osmoprotectant, antioxidant, and cell stabilizer. It helps protect ocular surface cells from dehydration and oxidative stress, maintains tear film stability, reduces tear-film osmolarity, and supports the survival of corneal epithelial cells. Moisview is being evaluated in Phase III clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in patients with Dry Eye Syndrome.
