**Mollipect** is a combination oral solution containing **bromhexine hydrochloride** and **ephedrine hydrochloride**, used to treat cough associated with viscous mucus, particularly when bronchodilation is also needed. Bromhexine acts as a mucolytic agent, thinning mucus in the airways to facilitate expectoration by increasing serous bronchial secretion and supporting ciliary transport; it also exhibits antioxidant properties. Ephedrine, a sympathomimetic amine, functions as a bronchodilator by dilating airways and reducing mucous membrane swelling.
