Molval Fort

Molval Fort is a multi-ingredient nutraceutical combination product marketed for the management of dyslipidemia and hypercholesterolemia. Its primary active component is red yeast rice extract, which naturally contains monacolin K, a structural analog of lovastatin that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis. The formulation is supplemented with the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which contribute to triglyceride lowering and cardiovascular health, and coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) to replenish levels that may be depleted by the statin-like activity of monacolin K. Molval Fort has been evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials, notably by Saint-Joseph University in Lebanon, to assess its efficacy in lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol compared to standard statin therapy in treatment-naive patients.
